It looks pretty cool but theres got to be some kind of tunnel on the RMK
The rear suspension looks like it could work pretty good it almost has a bike or quad setup goin on

yah me too, it will be my fall and spring sled. and replace my rmk with the 2011 rmk. And just because the short track looks like that dosent mean the rmk will look like my photoshop pic because yah it is dangerous but the snowhawk mountain was the same way. How about this, its roughly done with paint but will this make you all feel better?

hey sledneck, you should hire on with Polaris. some great chit with photoshop. Now you probably should improve their skid, looks like it would fold like a cheap WalMart tent.

I like how everyone is making such a big deal about the mountain sled and it isnt coming out till 2011, and it probablly wont have this rear suspension. Does the 09 rmk have the same suspension as the 09 sp? Nooooo its close but a totally different design. Im sure polaris knows it needs a longer tunnel for longer running boards and cooler and also most important a gas rack and cooler rack:beer:!!! but any who i dont care im not into short tracks anymore and im just going to wait for the 2011 rmk and then buy it used from the states for half price in 2012:d! My 700 is great but the only new sled i might get next year would be if i find a 1.75 lug assault for a nice price next year. And the video.......................................

Doesnt look much like the xp now, look how narrow it is and there is your cooler solution! A huge radiator in the belly pan, i know alot of people will be like WTF RAD AGAIN? but if you think about it, its logical, every other type of vehical has one and low snow wont effect the cooling

Yah they do look flimsey, but they also look like my 08 rails so they should be fine. heres a little nicer tunnel. I could make it look real but i dont want to spend the time and i like my no tunnel rmk photoshop better

How long can i keep editing this? heres a couple snaps from the vid

its unreal from the front and rear. looking at it close now, theres no way even a 136 would fit, the track would rub on the swingarm so its probably safe to say the rmk will have a tunnel and different suspension. i would be happy with a 144 800 with that front plastic and seat with the 09 tunnel and rear suspension

THE MOUNTAIN VERSION IS TOTALLY UNFUNCTIONAL. YOU WILL NEED SNOW TO GET UP TO THE COOLERS, WHEREEVER THEY MIGHT BE.... AND CAN'T HAVE AN OPEN TRACK LIKE THAT..... TOO DANGEROUS, SO I SUSPECT THERE WILL BE SUBSTANTIAL CHAGES TO THAT MOCK-UP. ..... BUT IT DOES LOOK KINDA HORNY, DOESN'T IT! I THINK KTM WILL DOO THE BIG JOB!!!

can't see why they couldn't use a bulkhead cooler system like what Racer X had. They used a huge cooler as the bottom and back of the bulkhead. It seems to work as my roomates sled has had motors anywhere up to 250hp in it with no cooling issues.

It has a radiator and basically the whole top of the tunnel is a cooler

My photoshop version. The floorboards would run out the back and connect the 2 sides with just the outside tubing. I threw in a snow flap/trail groomer too. :)

as the guys had said though only the rad would do any work because there would be no way for snow to get into the tunnel with this rear susp design. Racer X's used the cooler as a stressed member of the bulkhead, it was all one peice and very very light. Don't think you could ever hurt the bulkhead on that thing.
I liked the tube style rear section photoshop.

I disagree.. It appears to be quite a bit more forward, more like an XP type stance... and front end look. The rear suspension actually looks kinda sweet to me. I LIKE IT. Was thinkin' about switching to Cat next year but now it'll be a tough choice with a new chassis.

You know better than to buy a first model year sled, right? :d

Basically every year you are buying a first model year sled, cause there are always small changes. They aren't changing the engine this year, and that's the only thing I would be a little concerned about. They're not making an RMK version anyways.

Has possibilities don't ya think? Some ice scratchers for the RMK concept and a bit of bodywork for avoiding track rash (I know no self respecting powder hound is gonna fall off the back anyway but..) and deflecting snow onto the heat exchanger, fuel can rack, shovel & probe, extra storage bag...

any one notice it comes with the gripper skis?

Heres some info from a spec sheet

Cooling
• Narrow tunnel top cooler
• 3-chambered, 2-pass center cooler
• Tube/Fin Heat Exchanger

Is the 3-chambered, 2-pass center cooler a bulkhead cooler? That means there is a tunnel cooler, bulkhead cooler and rad?
