Thank you polaris for your weak a arms!!

So this weekend we went riding to blue river in ridiculous powder. It was almost too deep because after awhile the throttle started to stick but only at low revs. Well i turned it off to take a break and then started it again and it took off (unfortunately my tether was sitting at home in the bag) and bucked me off. She was going probably 50km/h and smoked a tree. Thought she was totalled from where i was standing. When i got a closer look both the upper and the lower a arms were sheared off and i thought for sure the bulk head would be messed up. Fortunately the bulk head was fine. Thank you poo for your weak a arms. If they were stronger, my bulk head would probably have been totalled.

Actually this thread should be called "Thank you Polaris for a very strong substructure". Poo engineered this in so that the a arms will be mashed but not take out the rest of the substructure. A arms are not weak at all. Changing a arms is a breeze on a Poo. This is one of the reasons I ride a Poo myself. I believe in the Polaris culture. Lightweight done right the first time. Remove the plastic panels on a Doo or Cat and a Poo and have a look at the internal structure. Helps if you see and understand strength of materails and construction techniques to appreciate how a Poo is built. Great job Polaris.

Haha had this happen on my doo. Guess what it took out a upper a arm the S-module (bent again) and the E-module is now bent. Wish doo would take engineering from polaris in this department.

the worst part about wrecking a arms is they are not cheap ....unless you can find some take offs be prepared to spend upwards of 5-600 bucks ... i actually think if i remeber right holtz a arms are cheaper then the factory ones

^^ ouch!! I just had to replace my upper throttle hand side a-arm. Cost $270.00 plus gst for just the upper! Was sidehilling in allen creek and hit somethin under the snow and got bucked off and watched my sled smash into a tree at the bottom! Thankfully it was only the a-arm that got bent and not my whole sled!
