So what’s the deal with CF Moto? They got enough coin to not only buy Cats assets but make them into a competitor every year with Doo and Poo?

They sell a lot of product and have been growing every year, especially out east. Huge profit margins on their units as well in comparison to the bigger manufacturers. I can definitely see them having the cash flow.

Sure seeing a lot of them in all the different areas In Arizona ! Few years ago hardly any, mostly Polaris, now starting to see more and more. Gotta be making a dent in the sales market for Polaris , not so much here for CanAms. Haven’t seen them breaking any more often than the others. Other than the X3 type you really don’t see many CanAms in the mountains.

CF Moto acquiring Cat would be better for Cat the what Textron has done. CF has passion for the industries they involve themselves in and they could produce a cheaper line of sleds under their brand for the casuals like their SXS’s while also allowing Cat the regain their position against Ski-Doo and Polaris.

If this is true, I wonder if they will end cat and use the facilities to make their own or keep it going.
They could keep making cat parts at least since they would have the tooling.
Perhaps the sleds will get rebranded and an option for existing dealers to switch over.

I think the smart thing would be to offer an entry level sled with the right price point branded CFMoto. Then offer a premium one with Arctic Cat branding and hopefully pushing technology and trying to compete with Doo and Poo.

Rebranding from Cat to CF would be an idiotic move. The Arctic Cat brand is iconic in the sled world.
