My buddy is going through the PAL course right now. Of the thirty people in the class, only 10 are white and two different groups of several people (one black the other Arabic) have an interpreter because the can't speak English and had the test read to them by the interpreter. He asked the instructor whether they had to be citizens and was told no. How's that for scary.

Yes that is scary then. If you are unable to speak the languages of the country you are living. In this case English your first priority should be learning that language not having a firearm.

He looks after Russia first and his people. Cant say that about the yoyos over here.My accountant is originally from Russia. She has told a lot of her friends and family are doing 100 times better since Putin in power and a lot of friends that immigrated here are moving back. She said she would never move back as she has setup a family and career here so would be hard to do. However you get the picture of change that is happening. In 10 more years it will be a place of better choice im sure. The old days of the soviet empire are long gone and its shifting toward the soviet style life they had when The czars ruled.

I think although I am not an expert there are still a few things that are not great in Russia as far as there society but i am sure it has improved by leaps and bounds over the last 15 yrs. I agree with what you are saying about our yoyo's.

Totally agree that citizenship should be a requirement, but I'm on the fence about deporting them. I think they'd be much less likely to offend if they knew they were going to jail and deportation was not an option.

Personally, I don't like the idea of paying for anyone to be in jail, much less a non-citizen. However, I don't really like sending them the message that they can get away with whatever they want and the only repercussion is deportation. Maybe deportation after a lengthy stint in jail might be a pretty effective deterrent after all.

In Canada we have had the Quebec attack which was senseless but now I think with some of the statements released about radical religious groups that a terrorist attack is either going to happen on Canadian soil or to the USA but organized from Canada and that is going to be sad yet so predictable.

I've been thinking about this a lot more since the London attacks and I'm curious who started actually calling them "terrorists". Was it western civilization or them themselves? Maybe this is simple thinking, I like to keep things that way, but by calling them a terrorist are we not giving them exactly what they want? Think about the meaning of the word...someone who instills terror in others. Is the name itself actually adding fuel to the fire? Maybe it's nothing but I think the first step to winning this war is by taking the wind out of their sails and start calling them what they really are....cowards....then bomb the ever loving chit out of them!!
