telephone wire subtrade needed

Not sure if anyone else thought of this, but couldn't you add some extra wire to it to make it work? Splice a couple feet in it, coil whats left and bury it again?

Otherwise I agree tell them a natural disaster caused it and see what they say.

sounds like it is an overhead wire he was pullin. hehe. just say ron did it may explain everything.
