Tri-County has not groomed our trails for 3 years due to no or very low snow levels
Some pictures as we start the 2017-18 season off on January 27, 2018
First clearing our parking lot (yes we are stuck) in bumper deep sow
then at dark out grooming the trails

Was nice to get back into the 2000 Bombardier BR180 pulling a 18-08 Mogul Master 11 Blade cutter with a brush bar

We love the new 24" LED Light bar that we mounted on the roof under the brush protector now we can see in the dark - factory lights are not bright enough to see across meadows

Was a nice sunny -15 during the day dropping to -20 at 2:00am when we parked

Yes - cleaning the brush bar
We installed a new $4,500.00 bush bar on the Mogul Master Drag 18-08
It did a fantastic job of trimming the face slappers
We clear the trails by hand in November before any snow- From tree line to tree line -- nothing on the ground
Then we can run the groomer within 6" of the trees and trim the new growth back - reclaiming the full trail width.
As you can see in the other pictures, the trails are getting grown in now, hand trimming can not keep up to mother nature

When thinking of installing a brush bar -- you need it as close to the trees as possible
Our BR180 is 9" wide and our drag is 8'6" wide so the drag is 3" narrower then our tracks on the groomer - VERY IMPORTANT
If your clubs groomer has wider tracks than the drag you might not get as close to the trees as you want
But the Brush Bar is very helpful in keeping the trees back..

I know they have the very best in grooming equipment but I had no idea it has "Jet Fighter Heads Up Display". haha

What kind of camera is that???

Looks like you need the brush bar on that trail too.
But you still need to stop every 1/2 hour and clean the cutter bar and drag off - starts to look like a wood pile

It is just an Iphone app called "Theodolite" Very handy sometimes to have the GPS coordinates and date and altitude right on the picture. We encourage club members to use it if they come on a big log or other trail problems.
