The dyno that gave doo 163.9hp is the same dyno that all manufaturers were tested on in independant testing.
Now I'm no math scolar but if doo lost 10 hp..........wouldn't the others also.
Doo was just the only one to admit it.
Line all 4 brands up again and lets see what numbers come out.......no wait that was a chit idea....would kill ever stupid arguement and azzhat thread that is entertaining to read.

This is awsome reading with minimal name calling.

Maxwell if you play these whiners right you would have the ability to out run the 1/2 ton thread.
I for one think you should go at them way harder.........poo poo is the best, ride a mile tow the rest.
Poo 155 at 408# - can now be towed useing a 3/8" rope

I appologize to everyone for egging on Maxwell.
Apprently he can do enough damage on his own.

you guys doo realize that BRP and Bomardier are 2 completely seperate companies owned by different people and have been since 2002
BRP borrowing from bomardier would be like chev borrowing from ford

Sorry I forgot snow and mud posts all have to be 100% serious and factual information

not totally true....albeit two separate companies but the Bombardier family has major holdings on both sides.....so supporting one can be viewed as supporting the other

Yup bombardier family still 35% stake in brp.

I disagree with that statement, I couldn't give two chits if the aerospace business floats or sinks. there hasn't been any taxpayer money used to float BRP, there have been low interest business loans, and all were repaid.

Bombardier on the other hand has been given millions of our cash by the Quebec and federal gov't.

yup, I agree with you 100%.... two totally separate companies....but when the same people own both, public perception can be clouded.....as you see with even the few comments on here

ah, it's the same old dig. I think most are using it to try and get a rise. facts are facts, and easily found with a little research.

I can't find any numbers on the Beaudier group stake in BRP other than they are majority shareholders, but Bain is down to 27.8% and the Caisse is now at 5.3% as of January 2014 according to this article

Pair of investment groups to share $261M from cutting BRP stakes - Canadian Manufacturing

This is just Sean spewing his doolaide propaganda it's funny how everyone goes off, Brp builds a good product but so do the other 3 and all have their ground breaking innovations. Without all 4 we would not be where we are today. So to Sean hahaha go ride your sled instead of your keyboard!!!

I think the "who owns brp" topic is about as beaten to death as half ton sleds deck and can threads
One of those who care just quit giving taxpayer money to them, make them stand on their own 2 feet. If anyone of us had a company the government would let us go belly up before ever giving money. Jmo

There once was boy named Maxwell. Maxwell liked to snowmobile. He tried riding a pro but he had a bad accident because it was too "flickable".
He tried a cat but didn't know how to ride pu$$y.
Therefore he decided to buy the "compensator" ski-doo 174 and become a keyboard hero
End of Story.
In all seriousness, and this has been noted in the previous 18 pages, if it weren't for all 4 manufacturers the technology would not be where it is today. Over the past 16 years each has had their time "on top" of the mountain market and all have been at fault of some poor engineering. In todays sleds to state that one brand or specific model is a clear cut better sled is naïve. I love threads like this because they are great time wasters (so bash away!)

Pumpkin damage is like starting a new day everyday !!!

A "young" up & comers was thinking about moving too the next level of Ski-doo, so I could not help but to reply with feelings of hart felt honesty...

If you are young and going too school, the sled you choose dose not really matter since you could slip up with the girl friend and end up with some babies, so then you will be looking at getting a place of your own and it would seem more practical too find a good mini van or small four door car for the expanding family thing...

You will finish up school, get a job, married, more kids, second vehicle, lots of kid toys and the chance too look at the sled that was once the pride and joy of youth... Then one day the kids grow up and move out of home, old lady asks if you are ever going too get that old snowmobile running now that you have packed it around for 30 years too the many houses you move too over those years... Now covered in dust, faded by the sun while it was sitting out side for all those years, water in the fuel tank, weathered cracked track from sitting on the ground, along with a broken throttle cable that never got fixed on the last move 10 years ago...

As this person looks back at what was a good idea at the time too buy that 2017 Ski-doo which never happened worked out for the best after all... The old faded unit is now a fashion statement of days gone by, manufactures are making a replica of it at 7 X the price... You are now worn down over the years of 16 hour work days, and only get out on it when the wife says its ok too, so long as you return for supper...

Yuppers... Sure was fun thinking about that next sled back then until them darn kids showed up !!!

PS: I must of got this from the Book of good times to be had... Ha Ha... (Not intended too high-jack thread or hurt anyone's feelings). So back too thread of Maxwell !!!
