T motion trade

Guess my one question is trading skids would be the best way to trade.

rather than Having to swap the arms ect.

Which arms and parts does the t motion come with ??

if you r interested I will bring it up there and we can put them side x side and see. But at same time I don't want to waste either of our time.

I just texted a buddy that did his 12 to find out if its a good thing.

But I'm pretty sure its a go dude.

Plus I'm only 35 to 40 min from sundre.




One thing I guess is I'm hesitant cause some of the piviot arms breaking.

Might be just a isolated problem

Lol if I can't break it its good to go. The front end busted first drop. Rear held up great. I have to replace the nuns wing or hat. Whatever it's called.

Weekends for me suck. A evening would be better if possible.

I am flexable on the weekday evenings for sure. Just not Friday night or this weekend. I have a shop in Sundre as well if yours is full or what not. Don't mind coming up there though at all or doing it down here. What ever works for ya.

I got a brand new S-36 kit that I don't need now Tex. Bought it for my daughters sled and then she informed me she was getting out of riding because of her class load in University. It would finish the sled off for you.

I put a T motion and track in an xp this year. ( funny because I believe it was originally meant for snopros daughter aswell). We honestly didn't notice a huge difference until I finished it off with the s36.
And let me tell you that 146" 600 xp is a frickn riot now. Completely new sled!

The t-motion makes a difference to those who ride in more off camber situations. Guys who play around in meadows, take pokes at climbs and don't really get into technical areas won't see significant improvements with t-motion.

The s-36 was Doo's second step at trying to improve the sleds ability to lay over. The first was the 2010 update to the longer center shock. The S-36 did allow the sled to lay over easier.

With the t-motion the amount of rider input required to get the sled to initiate movements is reduced. When facing a steep cliff, or trying to get the sled to do a 180 when pointing downhill towards the point of no return it is beneficial to have the t-motion. Being able to get your weight reward and hammer the throttle to get the sled pointed in the direction you want is easier. The S-36 will make it easier to counter steering in those same situations.

Each component has its benefits. Many guys complained that the XP's didn't sidehill. They do, but combining the S-36 with the t-motion and post forward mods makes it a more complete package. A post forward mod won't make a world a difference when facing down hill. It serves its own purpose though.

I put my '12 with t-motion and post forward on side by side lines against a 2013 XP with the only difference being the DS2 ski's and the ski's actually made the sled feel lighter. It was a 600 etec demo that was completely stock but the DS2's compared to my Pilot's were a better ski for that situation.

I would like to try a XP with the XM spindles/ski combo just for the sake of trying it as the XM spindles are supposed to make a difference as well. At the end of the day, most of the bolt on items can be swapped from an XM to an XP. To get a XP to feel more XM like, the t-motion, post forward, with ski and spindle swap would get someone fairly close.

I keep hearing people talk about a post forward mod. Whats all involved and what is the benefit?

It's a pain in the butt on a xp.

Have to get the c3 steering brackets.

Have to modify Ur bottom blocks ( where the tierods mount )

Have to remould the air box so the steering shaft passes.


But worth it from what I have heard.

Still waiting to get mine from Fred w

To the OP, if you still want to swap and no one else has that skid I have a 2012 163 skid with black rails that I bought this year I'll trade you for. Skid has about 300-400 miles on it. All in Valemount snow, all straight. Only take about half hour to swap skids if your interested

Tried to swap with tex tonight. We got looking at it and my front arm is original and not split to allow swivel. Quized the guy I purchased the sled from and he's gonna pull his arm out of his 13 and trade me for the other.(baker skid). So perhaps the tmotion will work for me after that? Turns out I only had the rear half of it and assume this is why sled didn't handle well and felt too washy on a steep side hill.
