Does anyone have any info on Synchronized Charge Trapping. Its a new Technology from Boyesen and i hear its gonna kill the four strokes. Looking for any info on this or a link.

20,000 kms on a stock motor before any major servicing?


Until they can make a turbo 2 stroke that goes 5,000 kms and only needs an oil change.....Nothing is going to "kill" the 4 stroke.......:)

Sorry Modman, I'll reword that. it will put the two strokes back in the parks. I forgot about all the guys that love the really heavy machines. lol.

I'm not a heavy machine lover (don't think anyone is), nor do I actually own a 4 stroke. I'm a 2 stroke lover by nature due to the relative simplicity of them. But you cannot argue with the fact that 4 strokes are very reliable and easily turned into a power making monster. Takes a 2 stroke of 1200+ cc displacement to make the same kind of power and they are not a turn key sled and will not last the same kind of timeframe. This is not a biased opinion in any way, these are just facts. I'm glad to hear that this new tech will produce more power in the two strokes.

No apology needed. :)

What is the theroy behind "Synchronized Charge Trapping" . I've never heard of this before?

From what I understand it basically uses an exhaust valve that closes off the exhause completely when the cylinder is being charged with fuel. This eliminates unburned fuel going straight through the motor. Article in Snowtech explains it way better than me...
