Had air bags on my last truck (03 Ram 2500) and was happy with lack of body roll but it did ride like a tank. Got an 18 3500 now and was wondering if anybody has tried a rear sway bar or just go air bags again. Unfortunately I’m not someone who can cruise the speed limit in the right lane, loaded or not.

Are you talking body roll loaded? Or MT?

If you are controlling body roll with air bags MT, you need better shocks to start I’d guess.

I always deflate my air bags to zero when not hauling.

Sway bars and air bags are really 2 separate functions. Like overkill says are you trying to reduce body roll when cornering (sway bars), or decrease the rear end squat when loaded (air bags).

I was always told with any set of bags ive had that running them with zero air wrecks them, always been told 5psi minimum

Yup ur totally right
I tie mine up usually, crawl under there at 5 lbs they are hard as rocks.
I’ve been running at zero for 8 years hen not in use and they haven’t failed yet but I leave the vent open as well as air system oil in them too.

Just curious, What are you doing with the truck that you need air bags???
The 2018 is way more capable of a truck over the 03.
Im kinda leaning towards that you dont need anything for the moment.
