We just bought some barely used ITP's from a friend of ours still on the steel rims. I want to put them on my wifes TRV with the nice aluminum rims. Thought I could do it myself (yup, youtube!) but had second thoughts about damaging the nice rims. Anyone know a good inexpensive place to get them all swapped around?

Rapid Revolutions was the cheapest I found. Priced out Riverside for dirt bike tires and they were outrageous price wise. $100 for two tires IF I bought from them. I am scared to see what they would charge if I brought tires in. On the same note the price for tires from them were so high the mounting and balancing should have been included. Around $320 total. I bought the tires from canada motorcycle for $120 shipped.

If I am reading this right just to swap out from one rim to the next I cant see it being more than $15.00 per tire. Thats what I have paid at local tire shop.

Called a couple places and $60 is the going rate. If the new rubber wasn't on a rim, I could have gotten it for $40.

X2 for Kevin at Rapid best prices I know of I buy all my parts through them I don't grace the doors of the dealers too much anymore and his tire prices usually include install and valve stem

X3 for the Sale and Service at Rapid Revolutions, bought some Bear Claws for the Quad and some Pro Armor doors for the side by side , both sales at better prices then anywhere else, brought in my old set of tires on the rims and got a tire swap for free on the full set.,
great service !!!

Will keep you posted , Did Have some Bear claws on my previous Quad (Rubicon 500, 2001 ) but it had a straight across rear axle, which probably took away some of the fame acquired by the tires, This time around the quad has independent rear end suspension, ... Kevin at RR recommended 10, and 12 wide instead of 9 and 11, was a little concerned of the 420 could turn those tires, but it seemed to have no problems, just need to do more driving in some mud when we get a chance., they way I see it, she is around the 100 pound mark, with those tires she should float over skeg... lol

Rapid does good work, going rate should be $25/wheel to remove old rubber and install new after cleaning the rim/bead surface. Used tires should probably get bead sealant added to prevent leaking. There is a dealer in town going head to head with the online shops for motorcycle tires, real friends would have sent you there for tire prices.
