Was up there today with the fam.
Very skinny snow conditions(lots of bush and sticks on the trail) and has been above zero the past few days.
Heard they had good snow but was misinformed.

O and watch out for the rcmp, they are patrolling the area on 3 sleds.
Got a ticket for not having my plates attached.
What was the price of that ticket, where do they want it attached? Glad they solved all crime in the province so they can harass the general population.

Did you have the plate and papers with you, but not attached? And they still gave you a ticket?

Which way did you ride from swan? And as for a ticket, been asked lots for it, as long as it’s in my bag or on my person no ticket

Plate was not attaced and it is a 78 dollar fine for not having it attached and in the correct position on the snowflap.
It has to be mounted front(not possible on sleds) or at the rear. Side of tunnel is not legal as i was told.
Went towards whitecourt on the triangle and headed back towards fox on the triangle as well.
There is only maybe a foot foot and half of loose if you can find it until ground.
Lots of obstacles right under track.
Needs a good freeze and then 20-30cm and it will be good.

The renewal was more likely the reason for the ticket vs the plate being mounted!

Yep exactly, been stopped 4-5 times over the years during sled rally week around whitecourt and ride with a few buddies of mine that are cops from time to time as well and none of them mount their plate or have ever said anything about it, they just ask for the plate and to see registration and insurance papers when I’ve been stopped. You will never get a ticket around here for not mounting your plate, and if you do it’s probably because you were acting like a dick or being arrogant

Went fish into Roche lake Saturday. It’s straight east of swan hills. Lots of snow around there. More snow then I have seen since I can remember. It was a chew for the sxs.

Anyone knows how much show the ridge area has ?

And if the trails have been groomed lately ?

I kinda like parking south of Swan , then trail all the way to the ridge to ride the nice area north of there ....

Tks in advance

Boys went to swan Wednesday. Headed west and said it’s knee deep everywhere pretty much but sugary snow under top layer of crust
