Who's going Saturday or Sunday? TONS of snow in the forecast and I can't find a single person to go sledding with! Damn married people. Lol

Looks like I'll be throwing it in the box of the truck and heading up. But have no idea where I'm going and never a good idea sledding alone of course.

I might go up on sunday, i wont know till Friday for sure though.

lots of places to stage, can unload right in town at the staging area, or SWof the Hwy 32 & 33 intersection at the pump jack.

other option is 1 km north of the 32/33 intersection there is "Gas Plant Rd" or Goose Tower Road it goes back to Km 28 where there is a weigh scale and the trail crosses the road. from here the Km's start counting back up again, I went back to km16 the weekend before last, the further back we went the deeper and less used the snow got but there was a lack of staging areas. for the extra time it takes to drive the gas plant road next time I will just stage in town and ride up to the goose loop.[

on the bright side thier heavy snowfall is back on... not the 45+cm they were calling for monday but 20-25 aint bad...

Anybody have or know where to find info on the best places to unload and ride to find the deepest snow and biggest hills there?

And lets pretend I have NO clue about anywhere up there as have never been.

I sure I'm not even close on the trail size/location but it does loop around crosses the road north at Km28 and then intersects the road again south at Km25, but it's a good size loop... NOT TO SCALE....lol

If I'm not working saturday I'll be going then. Will know tomorrow. Convinced my neighbor to come so there'll be two of us at least.

I'm going to wait and see where all the snow decides to fall. reports say north of Barhead and south of Drayton will receive less than the area between 16 & 43... Whitecourt/Fox Creek might be the place to go. If I can ride from home I'd prefer that....

Ride from home....I think the Edm City Police would have a problem with me if I started doing that....lol

Yeah, I think I'd get some funny looks riding a sled through Mill Woods.......

On a side note, from the looks of that map and google satelite, I want to head to the hills and peaks on the left side of that map.
