Ive got a 2002 summit 800 x as some of you know and the previous owner set it up for his weight i need to set it up for me. I weigh in at 140 lbs and I dont know were to start. some pointers would be nice. Ive already got the sweigh bars removed, and the limmiter strap loose. what would you guys recomend?

tighten that limiter back up.. out the spings on the middle block. and ride it. you wont know tell you get it on the snow. that there is a basic setup.

every one rides different so its hard for anyone to say that works the best.. you just want the sled to hold the skis between like 6" to 1' off the snow when your climbing. having the limiters too loose will just make the weight transfer tothe back of the skid and your gonna wheelie everywhere and just trench..

so just play with it a bit and go from there. even try the owners manual i believe they have specs as to a basic setup for rider weight.

I have the front shock on my skid set soft, and then the back a little tighter, and with the sway bar out, you'll want your front shocks a little on the stiff side, otherwise it's just too spongey when you try to sidehill on packed snow. My .02

I am 200 lbs. I run the shocks on the softer settings and it seems to work for me. I back the shock nuts off the spring then thread it in about 1/2 inch.

Too Improve your deep powder riding take duct tape and duct tape your throttle to the bar. This will increase your sleds perfomance 1000%.

if it was set up for a 200 pound dude before now the sway bars are out it should be fine for you. unless ur laking dont touch the back. you dont wiegh enough to tickle the suspension with ur wieght.
