Yes there is NO BOOST - over and above sea level pressure - it compensates the loss in manifold pressure from sea level to 8000 - boost is usually any psi the motor will see over and above 14.7 - a wastegate spring wether it is a 3lb or a 7lb spring - it is also calibrated at 14.7 + the 3 or 7lbs - gauges are calibrated at 14.7 - wrap your head around it

Well now I am confused!

Thats it! I will cancel my snowcheck until Ski Doo puts a course on about absolute, manifold pressure, vacum and boost.

Until then I will let my knowledge be influenced by the experts on Snow and Mud.
I truly trust you folks.

i have a similar sled to yours, 12 psi, Full WTA, data loggers, fully built engine, EGT loggers, you name it. Runs phenomenal. i know more about turbos now after building that machine than i will ever care to know again.

It sat in the garage all year
That is a sin - mine is running minto buds - climbs doghouse at eagles like a maf*ka - got a coolant leak I gotta get to the bottom of tho but no biggie

Hows the new airbox and center mount workin??
Buddy the airbox mod is a game changer - getting custom cut reed petals coming for the airbox - also the reeds in the motor mod I also did is absolutely fantastic

what is the turbo for? increasing manifold pressure, one might even say for boost. or just for looks?
It's there to maintain the 14.7 in the manifold hence the 165hp to 8000ft then no more hp gain whatsoever after 8000ft - it's simple once you have a boosted machine that you completely re-engineer and understand how to adjust your mapping and data logging etc etc

the skidoo doesn't even come with a boost Guage. so I'm not going to let a Guage on your sled tell me if the skidoo turbo is faster than stock or not lol

so at 8000ft they are force feeding the engine air correct? just without boost pressure.

pretty sure this guy is as good as LHF.... we are on page 5 already lol

There u go your just alot better at the wording - I've only got my grade 10 of book learnings but I've been building motors for over 25years

Any of you girls remember the 17, 18 g4 issues? Short memory eh? News flash-This is same sled. Doo just added more power to an already pos sled. What do ya think is gonna happen now? It’s just gonna break down faster. Drive shafts will still crumple, tracks will ratchet, clutches will be good for cooking eggs and you get to beg for warranty. Can’t believe they added more power to the g4 junk sled. Bahahahaha. Boo hoo hoo, doo hoo hoo the sound of doo criers.

But, hats off to the frogs for being first in and setting the two stroke turbo bar quite high for others.

Heehee, not quite jealous but sure looking forward to see this technology in a new chassis. Hopefully from all sled makers.

I’d say more inquisitive at the point. It is cool witness this 2s turbo make history!

what do you feel the G4 chassis lacks in? Could loose some weight but with that comes durability issues aswell
