Most riders would have packed it in for the day after crashing as hard as Stewart did. Great season so far, super competitive.

I watched the race good race i dont like stewart i give him respect for getting back on the bike he looked hurt. But he should slow down he had like a 6 second lead and threw it away i think to show off. Ricky Carmichael said it was risky to jump those doubles i said to my wife he would dump it and he did. The way i look at it you have to be consistent to get points i dont think he will get the number 1 plate back this year.

Ya he was pushing it, just if his front end wasnt so high he would of been able to get that double...

I said it 4 posts down - his ego will be the end of Stewart.

But - I think he did really well to gain back as many spots as he did!

Wasn't one of the better SX's this year, good but not great. It certainly took a lot to be competative at Daytona. The Lites weren't all that exciting either.

No matter how you see it...James Stewart is the fastest SXer on the track. I actually think it isn't as simple as "just slow down", for an answer. It is more instinct, he rides as hard and as fast as he can, it is just the way it is...Would be hard to break yourself of that habit. He pays the price for his riding, but it is sure fun to watch. Hard to say, would you want to be the rider that consistently finished well, but rode "slow" in your mind, or would you want to be the rider that destroyed the track, taking lines that only others could dream of shredding? If he can hold it together, he might get the championship...that is good TV.

I understand what you are saying you cant just slow down but you can have a 3,4 second lead and keep going to the end or go flat out and crash like he did . I think dungey will keep the plate shame his engine went but he is consistant. I know stewart is fast and an awsome rider but i dont think he will do it again.
