I was just given two box's of super glides. Each box contains 20 feet.
My problem is I have a 12+2 deck. Should I space the pieces out to cover the entire deck? Or leave two feet on the back not covered?
don't really want to spend $100.00 bucks on another box for 8 more feet of glides.

Figure out where you skis sit first. You won't need to go to the very front of the deck nor the back as the skis will be in the air as the sled transfers from the ramp to the deck and the same when you back off. Does that make sense?

Is your trailer drive off the front? if not just start them at the back and go as far forward as possible.

Or give them to someone with an 7' sled deck...wink wink nudge nudge

Ha Ha . Yep has ramps off the front.

Was kind of hoping some one had a partial box they might want to sell....

OK a foot off of the back and a foot off the front. Makes perfect sense.

Should a guy grind the leading edge at a 45 deg. angle so skies don't catch?

In that case i would see if you can find a partial box, or even contact Superclamp and see if he will sell you are partial box, he is here in Calgary.

I've found Marathon in Edmonton to be great for superglides. (and the alum edging for superglides)
You can buy them individually - and they are only 10bux each. (18" long)
Get only the number of slides you need - and for a cheaper price.
Good luck.

I also have a partial box, but I am keeping them as I might need them somewhere down the line. I have a 10'x6' so I only had to do one set but I had to buy a second box to do the ramp. Personally I would buy another box and if you have some left overs then you can do the ramp(s) and any extras can be put aside and uses to replace any ones that need it down the road.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm considering doing the ramps. Mine have super dangerous puck board on them. I'm not even sure how long my ramp is so not sure how much more i would need. What are you guys doing for the V nose part of the trailer up front?
The shipping cost to get a partial box to me might spoil the deal?
I'm two feet short on the square part of the deck plus the V nose.
Ill do some layout and get a better idea what i need.

I just got everything laid out...... If I do the rear ramp and the two V nose ramps I'll need TWO more boxes, crap! After doing all that I will have two pieces left over.

Question.... Are you guys putting any super glides in the middle of the ski area for when you drive the right sled off of the left side of the trailer for example?
Also the holes in my super glides are not lining up at all with the cross braces on my ramps. Do I just drill new holes (rather than have a slot) and not allow for expansion??

In my experience, I would put the ramp ones on without the larger expansion holes (Randal may not agree with this but that is his prerogative as he is the owner) because the ramp never sits in the sun long enough to "really expand" like the ones on a deck will. As for bevelling the leading edge, I would doo that neither as I have never caught a ski on the plastic.

I have extra pieces but it would be a pita getting them to you. Good luck and enjoy the product as they are awesome.

I've got extra super glides. They've been collecting dust in my shed for 2 years. Don't know how much I have but you are welcome to them.
