The X has take apart high pressure shocks , different handlebars and a color option. The SP has sealed high pressure gas shocks and one color option.

I always buy the x, but the sp this yr is nice also......

So nothing that will have a major impact when it comes to the ride, considering there's almost a $2000 difference

Haha. My bad didnt see the US... I live in Alberta! 450 is a lot better news than 2000...

i ordered the 163 SP and it was just 450 cheaper.....as stated the only difference was the three shocks and the handle bars.I figure there will be more X's out there than orange sp's

For the 450 or 449 price difference it seems like a no brainer. Even if you just think about resale, X's always seem to go first and for 500+ more.
that SP starting at 10,149 USD (11,299 CDN) is a SP XP with Etec 600 H.O, once you switch to SP with Etec 800 it goes to an XM chassis and the price is within $500 of an X.

you can if you spring order the sp. Thats what I did but then changed to the black on black when that became a choice.
