i'd rather pay more money to deal with decent parts people, than get a few dollars off from some knob that thinks you don't know what you're doing. i ordered pistons and the retard actually asked me why i didn't just use the old ones... uhhhh i just feel like having a spare set laying around...

i'm with you on this one. a good partsman is worth his weight in gold. although he/she is run off there feet. cudo's to T@T parts.

looks like cat401- glengine-heavy d-shiftmx-snochuk-snowpro-trollcat-tukernator-zipp all like being treated like this. glengine i am surprised.

sure everyone is busy so am i, and my money can travel across the street, as well as other customers. i will tell the management what i think the next time. good or bad. as well as eveyone within earshot. man the internet has big ears and just doesn't quit.

T@T cudos great parts people.

Want to hear a "lost business because of no call-back" story? The wife is looking at building a new house (for us...LOL)...we have a few specific requirements (garage size, RV parking, plus the usual "woman upgrades"). The saleswoman at Asset Homes was to call her back 3 times with just some real general pricing and easy preliminary questions. My wife called HER back twice...not a third time. Blamo...no way will they build our shack.

Service sucks everywhere....whether it's 10 bucks or 500k.....

you would think that the amount of cash the real estate creeps get, that they would have been all over your phone. for several thousand dollars, you bet i would have your # on speed dial. not that they do alot to earn there money.

Been through this several times. Wife was surprised I came back from the north end of St. Albert one day, thought for sure it was bail time for me. On the fourth attempt on one order it was still wrong and I called ahead for the owner to be present. There was silence in a very large store while I said my piece.

Does anybody like bad service...nope
Is the person a trainee or apprentice...maybe
Does the parts person feel bad... probably
Is the owner unhappy...yup
Will the shop give a discount for you troubles...maybe
If they did would I go back...yup
Did my situation improve...nope
Would I ever do that again...nope
Did I go home and find the solution close to the bottom of a bottle...yup
I have not been back to the north end of St. Albert for two years and do I miss them because they are close to my house and handy...nope
Will belittling the poor girl help...nope
Is there a real answer that I've found...nope
Does moving on to the next shop help...bingo, bingo, bingo

When your heels are dug in, is it best to move on...YUP!

sadly, you'd think a paycheck would be enough :(
I will continue to drop a twenty every now and then for excellent service. you do it for waitresses, why not the ones in the service industry that you REALLY appreciate? no brainer my friend....

I've found mostly the same things with houses. Can't believe how a lot of them act. Builders attitude seems to be "if you don't want to buy it someone else will". It goes both ways though :d

Funny thing is, I was looking just before christmas, said I wanted a change, wanted stainless steel appliances with over the range microwave, they had a black hood fan in, said I would gladly pay for a new one and install. Was told no, black only won't change it, and won't even take a offer on the place, full price. Went back in march still had the house, mind you it was 100% complete at the first part of december. Attitude was 100% different, said they'd make the change for free, and upgrade to stainless steel for free. Ending up making an offer 2 weeks ago and buying the place, pending financing. A $300 part almost cost them a $300,000 sale. And funny, it cost them an extra 3.5 months carrying the house, PLUS I got a better deal out of them since I knew how long it was sitting. Like a $5,000+ mistake. I made sure to tell the sales people why I didn't buy before.

I don't feel bad for people who don't do their job. I have no problem raising my voice. Or when the part comes in telling them to keep it, I ordered elsewhere.

i've been at my friends dealership when tards come in/call asking for parts that they have NO idea what they are talking about. so it definitely goes both ways. and from seeing it firsthand at said dealership, in general, sledders are by far the most aggresive and rude people that they deal with. of course not EVERYONE, but in far larger numbers than quadders, bikers, etc.... seems when we own sleds we think everyone should prostrate themselves in front of us and not only give us great service, butgive us the parts for free too dam it!!!!!!!!!!!!

i will agree, that parts people/sales people that don't know what they are talking about is annoying. and it's also a pet peeve of mine when people(in any profession, or friends for that matter) don't call back when they say they will

Never missed a weekend because of a mis-ordered part, I would absolutely blow up if it happened. There is NO reason for wrong parts to be ordered. When one dealer didn't have the part in, they took it off a used sled in the showroom for me. But funny thing was, the guy I was dealing with just said we have none must order it, the guy I normally deal with there said "we got that sled in the showroom, go take it off for him". Was a $5 part, but it goes a long ways. Especially when you spend $1000+ that year on parts there.
