Every parts person is like that. I've gotten the wrong handle bars twice, wrong exhaust, a bumper that didn't have all the parts and the list may as well go on, cuz I'm sure theres more stories I may have forgotten.

Wow....thats kind of harsh.....:nono:

So you had to call back......how hard was that?

I've dealt with the parts dept at Don's and they are quite knowledgeable.

How busy were they? You probably have no idea.......

A lot of times, parts people are overwhelmed with "in store" customers and have every intention of getting back to there "phone-in" customers. Obviously, walk in clients get served first because they are THERE. It does not mean that they are better customers or more important....only that they are THERE.
So, next time you call into any business, keep in mind that sometimes businesses get busy and are unable to call back when they promise.

Give them a break, most parts people are doing as best as they can.

But to call her a moron because she didn't call you back is rather harsh and maybe short sighted on your part.

pretty tough to place conclusions on her actions, when your oblivious to the situation she was dealing with that after noon.

for all you know, when she hung up the phone, she thought you were a moron, and said fawk him........just sayin, hard to judge

doesnt matter how busy you are if ya say your calling someone back take the thirty seconds it takes to actually call... nothing pisses me off more than anyone who says they are calling back and ya never hear from them...

All I know is when these businesses start to complain about low sales, start looking at who's selling your wares..... Customers bring in the money all because of great sale persons.... Tit for tat, sorry to hear about your experience with Don's... I also understand there are a lot of dealers/sledders here on snow and mud, hopefully you are viewing this thread, and you are choosing the right minded sales people for your own business and lively hood. Imdoon' you can always shop at Turple HAHAHAHA.

The dealership is only as good as the people that work there. Sometimes it takes some trial and error to get the right people in place. :)

I haven't been in to dons in over a year but any time I have tried to get parts from them I have had to deal with morons. I avoid the place whenever possible, and I live in Wainwright.

well the stupid beotch said she was busy and would call me back, so who fawwked up that twit wasn't your main squeeze was it.
maybe your experiences are golden. this is the second f-up from this stupid person. 1st time she took 20 minutes looking up who knows what, had to show the goof what to look up. this time she looked up the part but couldn't take the second to phone, and let me know. i called 20 minutes before closing. she had 3 hrs. i have seen the no-mind sit on the high chair chatting and doing her hair before she had any intention of asking what i needed. i am busy haven't got time to dick around like you i guess. so maybe i should get you to order parts as you sort of like this dipshheeet type of customer service.
if she was an employee of mine she would be fired , as far as i'm concerned you can have don's speed part counter all to yourself, as i'm done with that stupid beotch, and she needs a punt to the cooter,

Was she rude and obnoxious towards you Larry? The kids today are different than your day too eh! Most service these days is not service, it's a how much warranty do you want with this product as you are going to throw it out after a year anyhow! I was out shopping today and wanted to Barf from the service from Sears Appliance Place....Future shop of all places got our business over Sears..... Bad sales people, they couldn't be bothered to get off their perch and serve my wife and I!!!!

people if you own a business, your employees will make or break you, and don's has lost 1 customer. only i like to beotch about it, = more customers. service if you cannot provide it, money will walk across the street. if you don't have parts and couldn't care less, money walks across the street. i want the parts now not 3 weeks away.

i called T @ T in bonnyville, they had the 6 " carbides, and the youg lady, took the time to find parts and let me know. i should have had her send them to me in red deer, i may monday, great experience. thank you. i just couldn't make the trip to bonnyville from wainwright. again don's sucks. t@t good.

Want to hear a "lost business because of no call-back" story? The wife is looking at building a new house (for us...LOL)...we have a few specific requirements (garage size, RV parking, plus the usual "woman upgrades"). The saleswoman at Asset Homes was to call her back 3 times with just some real general pricing and easy preliminary questions. My wife called HER back twice...not a third time. Blamo...no way will they build our shack.

Service sucks everywhere....whether it's 10 bucks or 500k.....

i'd rather pay more money to deal with decent parts people, than get a few dollars off from some knob that thinks you don't know what you're doing. i ordered pistons and the retard actually asked me why i didn't just use the old ones... uhhhh i just feel like having a spare set laying around...
