how many times is it acceptable to cross a stream or rip up a river to clean your rad or quad. it must be fun saw a guy on a polaris rzr do it 15 + times out at fallen timber.

For crossing, 1.
For washing, 0. They make pressure washers for shite like that.

I would think its acceptable to cross a stream or river to get from one side to the other. Ripping up and down to wash a machine off is how DFO and ASRD will get areas shutdown.

wel the one thing i do have to say is washing is a major no-no.....
but if ur rad is pluged and ur trying to open it a bit then well ok....
whats worse coolant from a overheating quad or some creek stired up...

Highly agree.

Especially inthe Fallen Timber area where areas are already closed down and people continue to ride on illegal trails, or do more damage then required.

I would have video taped the rider and reported. SRD does follow-up with these reports and some fines do make it to the user.

calary quad squad were at the staging area all day. no problems. kids were putting large rocks in river, and we paid no attention. about 8:30 or so a wack of quads and side by sides start to tear up the river, an adult woman is in river placing more rocks etc. and this clown on a polaris rzr starts to tear up and down the river, loud as hell exhaust. may have got the message as a few rocks went his way. took off, what a looser.

What i use to wash my rad out is a big suringe water gun from wal-mart or what have you it fits nice in a box there is all sorts of different sizes you can get and they work real good. Keeps everyone i ride with from trying to wash off in a creek.

all I know, is that i'm going to start reporting people playing in the rivers, creeks, etc. I do some random camping and riding in the Caroline area and we camp right beside the clearwater, saw tons of people in there this year.. next time i'm there, or anywhere for that matter (I carry a camera on me all the time when riding) i'll be snapping pictures, writing down license plates, etc, because this is purely unacceptable. I'll also post any pictures of culprits I get on snowandmud, hopefully none will be identified as fellow members!
