If I cut the legs lower on my sled deck will that move the center of gravity low enough that I can put it with two sleds on my half ton?:p

I hate seeing guys overloading their equipment...especially towing in the winter. I have seen guys going down the highway towing an enclosed trailer and the whole unit is swaying back and forth from left to right...and the twit driving does not think that is a problem? No sway bars, no levelers, tiny truck and no brains! About an hour after he passed us we saw him in the ditch. The guy was sure lucky because if he had hit the ditch 200 yards earlier or later he would have driven off a mountain to certain death. I hope that the cops pull all of these unsafe combinations off the road.

Yeah so did I - and that was my exact point. How many threads have we seen about the same thing? Being overweight on your truck - It's still illegal this week, but hey, maybe we can work the #'s so that I can pull a house with my Toyota Tacoma. My original post was about 1/2 page of rant but I shortened it. :) Lots of threads about ways peeps are trying to justify cheating the system - payload, towing, tires, etc. If the manufacturer wanted you to tow 50,000 lbs with your 1/2 ton, they would have given you the equipment to do so. So go ahead and put 8 ply solid bobcat tires and air bags on their trucks and do what they think they can get away with - when they get stopped act ignorant (that's appropriate right?) and hope that they don't kill someone in the meantime.

They can tow what they want, I don't care if it takes them a week to get up to speed, but if their truck cannot control the weight and brakes cannot stop the weight, then likely some innocent family of four will pay the price, as usual. We can only hope that the family does survive and the irresponsible driver is held down while his/her fingers are slowly pulled off, salt packed in their wounds and they are left to die.

If this was a commercial trucker, the same irresponsible idiots would be screaming bloody murder about safety infractions like being overweight - without bothering to confront the hypocrit in the mirror first.

Peeps trying to cheat the system need to give their fawking heads a shake was my point.

modman is on a rant again, he is going to blow a vein soon, have a beer there bud.:beer:

Rant has to stop in order to start again... LOL been a long week and just getting longer by the minute - just sick of beating a dead horse on the same issue over and over and over on something that has serious consequences to peeps poor decisions. If the offenders were the only ones going to be hurt by it, I'd say give'r beef, but its always some poor bugger that dies instead, never the one responsible.

Come down and we'll have that beer, unless you are still too busy molesting cows in Drumheller :D I still need a hood.....

Yah I"m not worried about the guy thats overloaded, more concerned about the guy doing 140km/hr passing everyone going up hills on icy roads. Im sure there is guys on here that fit into that category whether they want to admit it or not.

I don't really understand why anyone gets fired up about a thread or topic? Does your computer not have the BIG arrow in the top corner to back you up to a different tread. No one is forcing you to read it and if it piss's U off change the channel! Their are tons of thread /topics on this site that I dont care for and wish they never exsisted but I skip past them and go to the stuff that I'm interested in. Pretty simple really!IMO

So what you're saying is if you don't like a topic, don't read it then, right? So....doesn't that make your post above hypocritical?

When the post is directed at me it's hard not to read! But I'm done now!

Wasnt trying to peeve anyone off, just find it amusing and educational about people trying to haul a 34' Toy hauler with a Tacoma. I it wasnt for S&M I wouldnt realize the limitations of my Chev 2500 or new F-150
