Buddy had hitch locked in locked compound stolen by some pricks on weekend, didn't look like hitch lock slowed them down much. Insured but will still take a beating on contents and depreciation.

Here's the thing truck that stole it had big lug tires that are very distinctive and left tracks, there is a truck a half block away from compound has the exact same tires and a hitch receiver on it. Thinking fairly good chance that's the culprit, cops apparently won't act on the tires. Wondering what to do? What wound you do?

get photos, document it all and submit to insurance company. Sometimes they will open a private investigation to help prevent their out of pocket payouts.

chances are more than one set of tires has been sold. You can keep an eye on them but what else can you do?

When my sleds and trailer were stolen, we recovered the trailer a few neighborhoods over.... it still had the thieves' receiver attached to my trailer. I told the cop that it wasn't mine. I said "couldn't they take finger prints".... they seemed disinterested and said that wasn't possible, and to just call my insurance. Pffft. Good luck sir, but I doubt the cops are going to be much use, and the insurance company is just another crook in the lineup.

I have not heard of hardly anyone having the cops actually do anything other than issue a file number and advice of where to look for your stuff.
If you have facebook you can see how they search for missing people, it seems as if the public doesn't find them nothing gets found.
Good Luck

Next Door had there truck stolen a couple days ago at 11 am the wife watched it drive away with the two stolen trucks they drove up with. By 11 that night they had it back and asked RCMP what the guy would be charged with the answer was possession because they didn't see them take it!! What a joke!
Hopefully this stuff is found in good shape.

Buddy got empty trailer back today, abandoned in Edgar industrial in red deer. Dumb asses dumped next to a business that has security cameras was middle of the night so he said all they can tell is new style f350 crew jacked up dark with lighter colored fender flares, Likely that was stolen too.

It sure does seem like alot of **** stolen lately, hmnn not sure if its a lot of inside shadiness or just fawk tards out recking someones day. But then again when u cant make the payments what do peeps do right not insinuating all or anything but still. As for cops looking or even trying to get your chit back good luck with that, thats why there is Ins companies in this country that pretty much dictate what you/me can or cannot do. All IMO!!
