Big thanks to Jeff(Tex78) my neighbor Dione and the RCMP my sled and trailer have been recovered in Kelowna. I posted Diones pictures here and on Facebook. Tex took the pictures and put them on buy and sell facebook pages in the area. I received the call from the rcmp at 5:45 that they recovered my property. minutes latter jeff sent me the plate number off the truck that was on Diones pictures. This truck was prowling around a subdivision 4 miles south of where I live prior to my theft. I relayed the information to the rcmp and was informed that they had recovered a stolen vehicle with the thief having been caught. Jeff also supplied me the number of the person who spotted the vehicle to the south. The Officer was curious which Facebook page alerted the person to south to supply Jeff the plate number and it was sicamous buy and sell. Thanks to Dave for taking the plate number down.

I am going to do my best to followup to see if the crimes can be linked the fellow that supplied Jeff with the plate number was not the direct witness but I called him and he said the person who took the plate number down got a very good look at the people in the truck.

Now thats a great sled community, using the resources of social media to keep stolen property thefts reduced and having recovered Mark's stolen property is just awesome, hopefully they will think twice knowing the sled community is watching….Excellent work.

Good to see a happy ending for once. And awesome to see everyone looking out for one another. To many of these fawktards out there. Could always head to court and get the names of these clowns. A few pics put up for people to see, some public shaming might make them keep a low profile. Wishful thinking I know. We get odd ball lookie loos at my place too, I make sure the dogs are out and always approach, the sketchy ones always book it when approached. Plate numbers if I can, most are local in see the vehicle a few days later somewhere in town. Be nice if a few of these guys would just "disappear". I bet it would slow down the problems. Which seem to be getting a lot worse lately. Sure seeing more and more of this on my FB feed

Haha that's awesome! I just got off the phone with dad and heard the story! He really should have been a cop!
Given that there are very few people that live in these areas year round my folks being one of them now... Not much gets past that guy being Swansea point fire chief now.
I'm glad it all worked out and proof we can all help in some way.
