Ya wasn't insured either. Hoping my home policy covers it since it was in the garage. They hit up my truck for 1500+ in tools and stuff. Garage door remote and commander. Along wit a handful of other vehicles in the area

Anything that can be registered and insured has to be insured separate .
That's what I have always been told and led to believe.
Even my JD tractor is insured separate from house policy.
Sorry about your lose Mattiac and hope they find your unit.

Although not a utv, my utility trailer and travel trailer are covered under my house insurance if parked in my driveway, and when being towed are covered under my vehicle coverage.

I believe it is a rider under your house and tow vehicle?
Vin#'s have to be supplied and listed under under house and vehicle policies.

Yes our previous trailers were riders on our house policy and we're added

And that was with cooperators

I would check into that and get the broker to show you. Your liability is the only thing that transfers from the towing vehicle to the trailer being towed. If its a holiday trailer your contents typically are on your homeowner policy, the remainder of the trailer needs a policy. Same with a utility trailer, you write it off or something happens to it, then most find out the bad news. I have seperate insurance on all my stuff. My 28' enclosed is fully insured and it costs $268.00 per year. My 2 place open is not worth insuring, and worth the risk.
When it comes to any motorized vehicle they need to be insured individually. Because its in a garage or in the care of someone with insurance that doesnt mean there covered.

Otherwise, Sorry for your loss, hopefully you find the goons who did this.

I had no coverage on it since I didn't use it. It just stayed parked. I'm deeply crushed right now. My only saving grace is its paid off and I don't need to continue payments on something I don't have. I will inquire tommorow if any of my aftermarket parts will be covered if I can show proof of ownership of those.

really friggin sucks, even with insurance you usually don't come out ahead.

head down to local pawn shops and do some inquiries, sounds like they are likely known around the area. shoot shovel and shut up when they are found.

I'm in the same boat, no insurance and $40,000 in my RZR. Did you find out anything on your machine?
