It sucks. You will climb higher and have a lot lower chance of wrecking and spearing it with the non cheese grater track.

I agree i put a 2 1/2" camo on my 09 last year and it made a huge difference. This was of course after the stock one almost tore right off the sled.

Wow you were lucky. This was a nice 40 mile ride/tow out on the sliders.

Stock porrted tracks were over ported. BRP went overkill. A Camo Extreme 2.5" is a great track but so are all the take off 2.25" tracks that guys have removed to go to a taller lug that can be had for a few hundred bucks.

My ported track riped last year.
I knew it could happen but said not me.

Well put a 2011 stock take off non ported for 450. Plus my time to change it which is a pain in the azz. Even with a hoist.

Yeah but anything that requires you to actually do something is likely a pain in your azz!

Track swaps for a first timer, maybe 3-4 hours R and R. You can get it down under 2 hours pretty quick.

Going from a camo 154 x 2.3 to a 2.5 was like adding 15 hp. It felt a slight better traction wise than a stock 163.

Not Sure Yet
I still have ported track and not going to change it. $600 and not worth it if i buy a new sled next year. I rode Polaris before this one and was way better in snow than XP. I founf that I could climb anything then with ported track was wondering if i needed to pick a different line. But I did get use to it

x9....tore mine on a stump and had to change it, got the 2.5 CE and the difference was easily 6-10 sled lengths on a powder climb versus the same sled with the stock track.

I was always leery of rolling over those branches and treetops with the cheesgrator track, snagging and it rolling over to "RIP"

Buddy did that on his 07 twice!!

I think it was a broken off tree top just under the snow that I hit. was a clean line, had it mashed, heard and felt a thump under the track but kept going. wasn't until i was coming back down at the end of the day....doing warp chicken on the trail when it made a bang, then "whack whack whack whack...." I says to myself I says "FAWK"

I would say not realy.

How much does a lid from a rubber bucket hold ??

Think its just meant to keep snow out.

yea track change is huge. on my old sled I had the camo x and when I got this sled it had the stocker on it and man did I miss my old camo x. lol so now i'm back with a 2.5 and love it.

but doing a track swap on a xp isn't that bad. just make sure you got a good puller to get the brake rotor off.
