Got a letter from brp today saying that the stock muffler from the 2014 xm will be on new xm 15. Something to do with enviorment issues that didnt pass by the new mod muffler.
Also that the track will not be same as tracks on spring sleds.
Something to do with porting will not be as much

I got the same letter. They claimed they kept the weight the same. They don't really say how they did it even with the FAQ part of the letter. Either way I'm gonna ride the sh!t outta mine stock and enjoy it👍

Maybe the BRP doofus's should have grabbed a Polaris Pro muffler ?
They seemed to have made there's light weight.
What a bunch of BS to spend $ sending out letters and making it such a big deal .😉😉😉

"We build the best sleds ever.... but we can't get a lightweight muffler to pass emissions.... and.... we can't punch a couple extra holes in the track to lose weight"

Now who's sniffing the Polaris glue? Maybe that's what their lightweight muffler is missing.

Sorry couldn't resist, but kudos to Doo for being able to admit a mistake and apologizing to customers prior to taking delivery of their sleds.

i fully agree..

however....to lots of people that can was a selling point having a better sounding snowmobile, with a lighter muffler and not having to drop an extra 300$. granted the 174 and 3" track are the main selling features.

Wow this is almost as big of a deal as the rusty drive shafts! Come on its a fing can! 90% or more of people will put an after market one on anyway! Give your heads a shake if this is a deal breaker! Doesn't matter what can is on it when your cat and poo buddy's are stuck and you are driving circles around them you will be all smiles!

Lol you people are ridiculous. It's a couple pounds, lay off the cheese burgers! Half you guys are gonna carry those stupid gas cans that weigh over 20 pounds anyways and those goofy tunnel bags that weigh another 20 pounds, then the 40 lbs of snow and ice build up. At that point you wouldn't of even noticed the weight drop of the can and track anyways

The BFG's were the first thing I took off my Raptor. They're useless. And the 'tuned exhaust' doesn't sound that much different than any other truck on the market.....The 6.2 and suspension are that truck....without them it's just a regular f150...Glad my shaft isn't rusty!!!

A rusty shaft must be really uncomfortable.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. You purchased the T3 for the 5lb lighter can? And that's enough to make you drop it? That's wild

This be all to end all super sled was supposed to be all done out of the box. Was gonna be the first sled i didnt touch. Now bring it home and first thing take off the suitcase. Great i have four in my shed already! Then pay 3-400 for a new can that i paid for already.. Part of the package. I don't care about the weight its about ranting about how great this sled is then only get half of what was advertised.. I already have a sled that will eat it up anyways. This was to be my new secondary back up sled. I got roasted out of the gate on the price cuz i went in first minuite of the first day of snowcheck didn't get any freebies or discounts now not getting the full package. whatever! keep the 500.00 id rather not waste another thousand by picking it up.. I'll go another year on my 13 and see how well you guinea pigs make out on these new/not new sleds. I don't really wanna relive 2011 again.. But i guess i'm a whiner.... jmo..

I was on the fence after i talked to 9 of my buddies that got a thousand dollars better price plus 400 dollars in free stuff.. Now double whammy, pay over price and get half of the package..

And the point i was trying to make with the raptor is if it didnt come with those parts why would you buy one? you can get f 150s with a 6.2 and same hp rating for 30000.00 less. that leaves alot of $$ left over to lift and put ten fox shocks on it if you wanted with tonnes left over.. If i wanted to start modding another sled it would be another sp.

Your not whiner just saying how it is and not blinded buy BRP crap.
Some others would still say it's okay and is justified if the sled came pink and 40 lbs heavier.😃😃😃
I too like BRP products but not blinded.
