I tried getting a 'doo stator rewound and the guy I took it to sent it out. called me back a week later and said it couldn't be done.

What sled? Try Stator Kev - He mainly does Cat but check the pricing page because I think he does other brands as well. Canadian too! Welcome to Stator Kev's - Home I've never used him personally but sounds like he does top notch work from what I have read on Arctic Chat. I sent a Cat one to RM Stator a few years back. They do an exchange, so the turnaround is real quick.

i'm not sure to whom he sent it, and I can't remember the reason why. he is a local guy that does all our alternator rewind/rebuild stuff. it was from an '01 800. I think I still have that stator somewhere...lol

Talk to Jared at Absolute Power. I beleive he is a dealer now from RM stator. Cost me 150 bucks I think for one for my cat.
