Okay, just got new box with all the components 5 minutes ago. YAHOO>

There was absolutely "ZERO" instructions in there......Am I the only one that got no instructions..???

My concern is pointing of the dish.
Does orientation matter or does it just do its thing. Meaning up, down, left, right etc.

Mine is more rectangular dish.
It does its thing.

Just plug it in. It aims itself.

Alrighty then.

Hope it works were I got no cell phone service then.

I will wing it.

Thank you
Yup give it a go. Can take a few days for all the updates to download so be patient. Also, not sure if you know but you can make calls over wifi too. A Wifi calling setting on your phone.

Click on phone icon (like you are going to make a call), then at the keypad screen click on the 3 dots on the top right corner and then you should see a wifi calling setting to turn on.

As long as it can see the sky there’s no worries. It works while cruising around on my houseboat. If it stops just turn it off and on and it will recalibrate.

Yeah download the app while you have service. Set up your dish and then in the app it will let you walk around and see if it's a good spot or not. Same as the placement of your mesh

And what did you find out about the PAUSE feature?

Gonna be using same as you.
You won’t get charged till you turn it on Rick. Once you do it will charge you for that calendar month whether you start at 1st day or 23rd day the way I understand it. When you want to quit using it for season I think you just pause service on the app or email them.

We activated ours today and we’re charged $67 of the monthly charge of $170 so it’s pro rated.

Okay, that is good to know when initiating the service.
We were gonna wait till the first day of month. But will now do it immediately.
I know when you PAUSE it, that the whole month is charged.
Thanks ...

Make sure you turn on wifi calling at least once while on the Telus network or it won’t work for you on the wifi. Once you do it once you can turn it on and off as you want and it doesn’t need service to start up again.

Pretty happy with the Starlink, just set it on the roof of the trailer. I also added another 120v outlet so I had a clean setup for the modem. I did have some minor issues with reactivating my service after three months of being paused, but the system sorted itself out.

The dish Compliments my apple tv box, so I can watch my telus programs ect over wifi.
Prorated service costing me $146 this trip. Not bad considering the cost of RV park service.
