Gonna be interesting to see how well it works. Theoretically the science is there for the latency and speed figures. The real unknown is how badly the CRTC is gonna **ck it up for Canadian users. Once Telus, bell and Shaw send their lobbyists to Ottawa, I see the price and taxes driving the price up to many hundreds of dollars per month. God forbid we Canadians in the rural areas have a system that is viable and cost effective.
I really wouldn't worry about that, I can get Gigabit speed internet for about the same price as Starlink. Realistically 6 times the speed for the same price. Starlink won't really compete in cities, where it will shine is where these companies don't operate. The businesses that will complain are those like xplornet as Starlink will wipe them off the map.
Please god give me starlink!
I feel your pain ......... I have 2 xplornet dishes
rep your post
We use a local company called Starlynx, not bad but it does piggy back off the telus tower. I would be interested to see if this new dish is cost effective. Currently pay $84/month for unlimited use.
Between the 2 dishes over $200.00 a month, and there always tryin to frigger out how to charge more

We were paying that with telus or rogers on the hubs. But you dont have cell reception up there do you?
That's a really good rate. We pay $80/month for internet only, through Shaw cable(hard line) in CalgaryWe use a local company called Starlynx, not bad but it does piggy back off the telus tower.
