So now that there is an election called I’m guessing this park can’t be rammed through anymore? Anyone confirm this?

If they can't do anything on the Big Horn,,, I was wondering if it wouldn't be wize to find out if the Castle Area thing was followed since the consultation process weren't followed...

Just an idea is all.

The Nordegg OHV Society will have an open AGM on Saturday May 4th at the Nordegg Community Hall at 3:00 p.m. The meeting should be no longer than 2 hours.
There will be an election of board members. This meeting is open to all. Hoping to add to our member list.

Well maybe, just not in the same way. NDP just ran out of time to ram through Big Horn parks. However, it is my understanding that the land use changes we are seeing in Castle, Dutch Creek, and the Porkies was not legislated and might be relatively easy to repeal as long as we have not made binding commitments to 3rd parties who might have legal recourse. I do not know if that is true or not but it is what I hear from a wise old friend of mine who is usually right about issues concerning land use.

I would be surprised if UCP chases that after they’re gonna squash Bighorn. One can hope though

Well, they're going after the ENGO's. I'm hoping they at least partially repeal the parks, if for no other reason, just to send them a message.

Frankly if there were any corruption, collusion etc. involved, Id want to see all those involved investigated and prosecuted...
Long and short politicians for the most part are virtually never held accountable...
Personally I think we need a law where you could just shoot and eat em... :smiliestirthepot:

That has to change, The trouble is theres No accountability...
In all reality there should be a nation, province, city etc. plebiscites held at the end of each politicians terms. With ONLY TWO possible outcomes..
1) It is deemed theyve done a good ethical honest job and as such are paid and given the opportunity to run again if they so choose..
2) It is deemed theyve done a poor dishonest corrupt job in which case they are stripped of their citizenship, wealth and incarcerated for the rest of their natural lives..

Given these circumstances 99% would be honest and actually abide by the will of the people... and trudeau, I think hes too stupid to live...

By extension The other problem with our current political system is more of the "major decisions" should go to nation wide plebiscites...
I'm sure Billions of $'s wouldnt fly outta this country if we all had a say...

glad to see Jason Nixon, nixing Notleys Motley crew from the Bighorn, now if he can relieve the rest of the eastern slopes of the NDP scourge, we all would be happy campers.

The biggest trouble now is the Feds and the BC NDP are still trying to land lock Albertas resources with closures in BC...
If Sheer doesn't win we're really no better off from a jobs/financial standpoint....
