Sputtering problems

I have an o8 grizzly. 660 . It started sputtering but I noticed now when it sputters my tail light flickers . Only when it sputters when it stops my tail light does not flicker . Any suggestions ?

Electrical wire rubbed through the sheathing. Check along the frame for a bare wire coming from the tail light.

Will do that tommorrow . So would that cause a short and make it sputter ?

If this wire is connected to other electronics, it could.

Is there anyone in the rocky area that could have a look at it for me . I don't know much about the electronics when it comes to quads
