To all those motorized backcountry users going out in the next summer please use extra caution to prevent any wild fires this year. Motorized recreation is already being watched closely and we sure dont want anymore NEGATIVE press. With the Avalanches this year and how it effected us all we dont want any more issues related to what we love to do.
Wildfires affect many more than the persons or groups close by. Landowners, forest users and wildlife are all effected by a fire. Industry that many make a living off of are also affected so please be carefull out there this spring.
From Snow and Mud .com be fire smart out there this year.

Thanks

Also a good time to remove your exhaust spark arrestor clean it out and check it for damage.

And then put it back on. If you dont have one on your fancy aftermarket racing exhaust, ride in on the race track only. Save the bush have your exhaust checked and remove all old dry muskeg from around your exhaust. Thanks

It doesn't look like the MD of Clearwater (Rocky Mt. House, Medicine Lake area) has bans on yet, but it is only a matter of time. Good thing for portable propane fire pits. We have been reported to the Rangers for having a fire during fire bans, but when they checked us out, there was no problems. It sure beats hovering around a Bar-B-Q, or a Coleman lantern.

Interesting? I was under the impression that "any open flame" is considered illegel during fire bans.
