Spring avalanches in Elkford, BC

With the above normal temps and very consolidated snow pack this year, avalanches have been few and far between. That means there is a lot of snow up there. When it comes down it will be wet and very heavy. Please ride safe and be aware!

I don't think they are all "totally" down. #4 and #5 have snow above and they haven't hardly come over the trail this year. So I am a little leery still.....

I wonder why a lot of people complain that they can't watch my videos on their phones? I know it has something to doo with the Copyright but I see you must have watched it on your phone. Maybe that particular music has something to doo with it?

Our group was in there on sat march 30 the day the ''20 year event" came down on way in everything was clear there were 4 of us 2 in our group headed in around 4 30 me and the other guy did a little more riding and were 30 minutes behind them when we came across this slide and had to go down into the drainage beside trail to ride over top the debris piles. The other 2 in our group said they never had to cross the debris so the slide fell sometime in the 30 minute window between us that day. As far as the some of the basins go nothing big was down when we were there just some sluffing on some steeper aspects so Im sure the big stuff is coming down if it hasnt already.

I have run into vids that say the person who posted did not give permission to view on a mobile device, a YouTube thing I'm assuming.
I've actually noticed this quite a bit lately with others that post vids, its hit or miss. The meteor mine hill climb vid posted on here is one I cannot watch on my phone for example.

If I make my videos "large" and not "HD" and the music published doesn't claim copyright it is fine. The "large" video has tick marks for iphone, etc. and I have them all ticked. But in my case it is the music component that screws up the viewing.
