I've got a Spot. I like it so far. The parents like that they can track me too when I'm out playing, even though they are on the other coast.

I've got the Spot Satellite GPS Messenger, and after checking out the site again I'm on the basic plan, where I've got everything I need (tracking/all emerg functions/etc). I pay $100/year.

Spot has a screamin deal right now with a $50 rebate.

I think I am going to get one to give my chick some piece of mind. She is nervous about me going ever since she lost a friend in avalanche a few years ago.

I'm pretty sure I only paid $100 for the year, but I could be mistaken. I know the tracking feature (not the "Spotadventures" which is new to me) was +$50 at the time, which means I could have paid $150. I started my subscription back in January, so things are a little hazy haha. Either way, $150 for the year is nothing for the service you're getting (I cannot compare to others who provide the same services).

Picked up my Spot today. Still have a $50 rebate you can print off from their site, and it was $119 at London Drugs.

T-team saved me money by telling me about London Drugs. I think its the first time he hasnt cost me money..........

I pay $149/year for my spot the has unlimited tracking. What i really like is when I get home, I login and see where I have been on a google earth platform. I know there are other options, but I am good with the spot. My wife can see where I track if I choose and this is a nice feature for her. Serves its purpose for sure.

I have used the spot in the past but upgraded to the inreach as I can pair it with my iphone and text through it, works amazing and the other big point is that inreach works off of the iridium sat network so much better communication. You can also have more characters in a text than spot connect and it also floats...everyone should have a spot or inreach, simple but effective if the crap hits the fan!!

I have the SPOT right now. Seriously thinking about the InReach. I've found with my SPOT, that when I send out an OK Message, some of my recipients don't receive it. The tracking works good but not too sure of the effectiveness of the message sending. I don't like the idea of not knowing if my message has been received....especially if I hit 911.

That is also one of the reasons I switched was that the messages go faster and there is a light that lets you know it was sent...since this is more for safety than tracking i felt that was super important!!!
