Tried an exact welding 3 blade impeller this weekend. Total junk! Anyway long story short it made some cavitation damage way worse and now my stator has a hole in the side. Any body know where to find a used stator?

Yes that impeller isn’t what they tell you it is that’s for sure.

Whats the claim to fame for the 3 blade? how about the Hi Skew stuff?

Four blade high skew is the only one that I have seen that works .
They shouldn’t even come without . IMO

Supposed to be better whole shot and lower cruising rpm. I got way worse hole shot and no top speed. 4 blade hi skew 40mph 3 blade 28mph! And the blades of the 3 blade go right to the stator and don’t allow the small rocks past and beat the sh!t out of the stator. Not happy!

I seen those I think they would work sweet.

But mine has cavitation damage. A hole right through the side!

I just rebuilt my buddy’s the other day.

Who? Cavitation burn usually takes some time.

It was bad when I bought the boat. The guy that had it before me had the 3 blade in for a long time and did lots of damage. Must of been ready to go through then this weekend just finished it off.

Just a die grinder with aluminum bit and some patients lol.

Ok I will try, that will be cast hey? so there is some alloys there doesn't weld perfectly I imagine? any help would be appriciated, I'm fairly new to alum welding.

Well got it welded got the smallest torch set up I could at work and got in there just enough!

Sport jet parts weld really good! Welded them lots now even pump housings and all have lasted. Just clean it good!
