SOS Beacon to donate

I have an old SOS Beacon that the switch is wrecked on. I have it wedged in the on position so that it will turn on and run when the batteries are in. It really isn't worth risking using it for riding like that so I figured I would offer it out for training use. If anyone could use it for search training or anything like that they are welcome to it. I would prefer not having to spend any money to send it out but rather have someone pick it up from me. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I would personally keep it, but that is your choice. We did a beacon practice day here in Cowtown, Thanks to Highfly and Rowdy. If you ever do a day like that, you could have a bit of fun with it

cool, hope it will help to save someones life. will never really know but at least it will be used to train people when we do beacon training. thanks dude.

I thought this would be the best use for it that way someone won't get a hold of it and use it for riding. That could end up bad if it turned off while bouncing around.

How old is it? They have a 5 year warranty.

Imdoo'n I have a old SOS beacon at home you can have too if I can find it. I'll look when I get home on Tuesday. Nothing wrong with it just upgraded. And if your training with it, it will be put to good use

yes we can use it, makes mutliple beacon searches easier. let me know, i can pick up or pay to ship. it would be a shame to throw em away if they work or have parts missing, we can still use them for training. will be used for a good cause, thanxs bud. i'd appreciate it very much.
