Some dumba$$ walked into my sled deck today.

I Guess its kinda like people getting mad when they bang their shins off trailer hitches in a walmart parking lot.. what gets me is why the hell are you so close to the back of a truck anyways..

Girlfriend was in a rush yesterday at the LRT station and i guess she was in a fast walk and closelined herself on the corner of the sled deck knocking herself on her butt, good thing she is only 5'3 and it hit her on the top of the head and not in the face. I was at work and i get a VERY angry phone call starting with Ï HATE THIS F?*$ing DECK i hate it i hate it ... then she told me the story about what happened my only rebuttal was... Thats funny wouldve loved to see that.. i was cut off apparently it was not a good time for a story haha



The dog house was pretty comfortable, actually had some blankets and more than 1/16th of the bed.. :d



Still dont know how she managed to bang her head off this...

When I had my deck and parked it on the street in our residential area I used to hang surveyors flagging tape on the corners - just in case.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has regular encounters with attention challanged peoples. I did find a pretty good size wad of hair stuck in the corner of mine and much blood on the ground one day. Wished I would have seen it live.

I hit my head off a deck on my work truck a few years back, lucky for me I thought of safety first and had my hard hat on. It put a nice score in the side of my hard hat so im sure it would have done a number on my head.

And no im not 5' tall, the truck was parked on the top of some really deep dried up tire ruts. I was walking in the bottom of the rut being careful not to twist an ankle lol.

When I used to survey I had a shortbox with a deck that hung over about a foot, THEN a beaver tail that went out and down another foot.....AND a trailer hitch. Got myself a few times....but I lost count of how many summer survey helpers cracked heads and busted shins at the rear of that truck...hahaha.

i'm thinking that the truck decks have nailed quite a few passersby. not that funny for the recipient. could be interesting if someone decided to sue, you know, one of those injury lawyers out there that only collect upon winning a judgement. canada has become like the us, sue happy. all of a sudden you may not be laughing.

i put survey tape on the four corners of mine, and have a few creases in the forehead.

ya? i smoked my head ON MY OWN DECK and wrecked a good pair of glasses and almost my eye, also dropped and smashed my blackberry while falling to the ground! what would you call that? LOL

Never walked into a deck but did walk into the glass wall one pane before the exit in the rotating doors of Esso Plaza in Calgary. Nothing like having your nose stuck to the glass then to have the door sweep you the rest of the way of the way out. Thought the two security guards were gonna die laughing!! One of them actually hit the floor!!! :d Bastages! lol

Had a guy walk into mine as well I couldn't help but laugh while he was ripping on me. Calling me stupid, a menace, etc. When he turned to leave ....you guessed it. Wham he hitter again. And I'm stupid. Lol

Well it sticks out about 12" past my bumper...
and it is at eye level. I never saw it happen or even saw the guy. My truck was parked in a parking lot.

He just walked right behind my truck and smoked it.. LOL

His buddy was taking pictures and said that the guy had to go to the hospital... He wants to have me charged because it was sticking out of the back of my truck.
I told him it has marker lights, and that he shouldn't text and walk at the same time...
I would like to know which hospital he went to, so I could send him a get well card, and a helmet..HAHA

and maby some caution tape to wear........ha ha ha !

i have done this a few times.

I have a pretty high pain threshold. My wife is always asking where i get these bruises and cuts and I honestly don't remember. They just kinda show up when I am having a shower and I think to myself - I wonder if that hurt?

I had the 2" ball on the receiver on the truck and I was in a hurry. I came around the corner and WHAMMO. I am hoping on one foot until I just about went down. The shin is the most sensitive spot on my body and I was almost crying it hurt so bad.

I had a buddy do it on mine he jumped out the backseat of the truck went to turn left and Pow rite in the kisser he got it! made me laugh so hard I think he may have had to go get the braces fixed a bit after lol

never walked into a deck yet. but one time i was about 12 or so bein a big bad trucker with my uncle. tryin really hard to get er right. jumped outta the truck to go crank down the dolley legs, he has a 72' cabover freightliner, came around the front of the truck at a dead run. you guessed it he left his door open when he got out to disconnect the airlines. ran my legs right out from under me. was seein stars in the middle of the day. needless to say i was a little less ambitious for the rest of the day.
