That's a cool way of working with the numbers.

It is interesting, when one gets into statistics, the statistician can twist those numbers to come up with any scenario he is called upon to do.

It would still be 2 miles of ditch, unless you are taking the meridian in account? Then it could be 4 miles of ditch, seeing how the meridian goes both ways
