Solenoid failure?

Hey guys, I'm having trouble with my 07 outlander again. The stupid thing doesn't seem to want to start again unless I jump the solenoid. I'm about 95% sure that the solenoid is the problem, but I was wondering if there is any way to prove that it is actually the solenoid before ordering a new one?

hook a test light to it ,hit the start button if it lights up it is good.

This has happened to me a few times also when the quad is shut off when hot. I just switch the relays around in the fuse box and it starts right away.
