why is the 600 heavier.

They usually don't have the lighweight parts like some 800's. The new skidoo 600 and 800 are both the exact same weight. But I'm pretty sure the M6 is a few pounds heavier than the M8.

I was in the same boat last season. Sold the POS 2007 Phazer and got myself a 04 800 REV HO. This Summer sold the wife's 2000 MM 700 and found her a 2007 600 HO SDI. Poor girl who I bought it from, her husband left her for some chick he met on....get this... a snowmobile forum:mad: Divorce sale $4800.
I got the same feedback from people about the 600 being very popular with the ladies....... have to admit I can't wait to try it out too:eek:

Personally speaking, go for the Rev 800, try to get a 06, stay away from the 07's unless like was previously said it has the 08 motor & the clutch has been done. Another option that you will not go wrong with is a 07 or 08 rmk / rmk Dragon 700, very good machine also. Good luck

Wish i could find an 07 sdi for 4800. The cheapest i have seen is an 06 for 6000 :(

Those off season deals are likely gone now. MelH mentioned about the 07 motors...good point, the motor and clutches in this one have been redone but it had quite a few Kms on it as it was a rental in 2007 at Great Canadian Snowmobile Tours in Revy. Beautiful condition though.

I ended up buying a 2006 Summit SDI 600 with 1344 miles on it. Never seen the mountains, just field riding and a little bit of trail around lac la biche.

You arent going to get a new m6 for 5000 I wouldnt think, it must be smaller machines. If im wrong let me know!
