So finally got it done. The welding was definitely frustrating. Had to cut out more as the rust made the metal thin underneath and the welds would drop out in certain spot. it was a lot of screwing around.

I used a 6” nylon cup brush on a 7” polisher and red scotch brite by hand on the tight areas. I would say you probably don’t need the cup brush.

Degreased used upol acid etch primer on the bare spots and grip 4 where I couldn’t sand properly……sprayed 2 coats of the raptor liner. That part was easy.

These turned out great!!! I ended up not doing them myself . I don’t have a dip tank and aircraft stripper wasn’t cutting the mustard….so found a new guy in the hat to do them…he had a dip tank.

Cody at Underdog coatings did a bang up job.

The brake drums and calipers are suppose too be a bright glosy red with white brembo lettering...

And stainless steel brake lines with a nice blue wire mesh rings too prevent the wires from fraying...

They say it looks wicked and adds that look behind those beautiful wheels...

That's awesomeness 👌

Very nice, awesome project, did that with my son when he was 15, bought it and we worked on it together for a year and he was sure proud of it. Good quality time together

Yeah hopefully she picks up some stuff along the way. After we get the wheels installed, then it’s oil change time. I say to both my kids , I don’t care if you don’t want to do any work yourself down the road, but you need to understand what your paying for.

Yup, one thing i beat into my kids was learn how to do stuff and learn how to work, they will alway have a roof over their head and food to eat
