When we get some snow, can a guy day trip to these trails? We are looking for some family miles around the city.

There is a staging area a couple miles north (then 1/4 mile east) of the gas station at Long Lake Provincial Park.
There are lots of trails in the area to access from the staging lot which is huge.
This is 1.5 hours north of Edmonton.
There are maps for the trail system on one of the "Riding At The Lake" threads.

dual purpose, more area for snowmobile riding, and some new hunting areas!

These straight ones will be double use, three passes wide.
All the other twisty ones only 9' wide.

Must have walked 5 miles through bush flagging trails before noon.
Good exercise.

Older brother took our dad (89) for a ride in the SXS to check out the trails.
Cleaned up all of the stumps and sticks poking onto trails, safe to let kids loose now.
Including crossing the field to the yard there is a total of 9 miles of trails.
He has always been an outdoor guy and a sledder - and of coarse farmed until he was 77.
Dad thought the trails were great - we didn't tell him how much his crazy sons spent though.
Grand kids and great grandkids are just bummed on the low snow, they want sleds instead of SXSs to use on the trails.
Maybe for Christmas!
