is there a trail from long lake to Hanmore lake? Trails are great but the odd sign would help as to were the trail goes..

Google maps your best bet.
Yes there is a trail, several actually.
Don't see signs going up any time soon.
Not a club funded trail system.

No warm up cabins unless you know the locals and stop in.
Have not done the run in years but i would say 35km one way depending on route.

haha...looking at your pics, so obviously, you have been sledding to Long Lake!

East of Long Lake a bit is a large pipeline that heads north towards Amisk Lake. South will take you to the Hanmore Lake area. Usually the pipeline is fairly packed by the locals from the Long Lake cabins
From your pic on the bridge, there are some groomed trails around there maintained by Don (contact Roadtech on here).

There are many trails between Long Lake and Hanmore Lake...through the Whitemud Valley/Community Pasture...non groomed, no cabins, no signage, no trail maps... but way more enjoyable than the pipeline.

Also, there is a cabin run by the Smoky Lake Trail Twisters club on the NE side of Hanmore. I think its just east of Louis Bartels cabin.

You can also find the pipeline if you take the narrows NE from that bridge in your picture but highly un-advisable unless you like dealing with open water.

yes I was on long lake on Sunday for a short ride I am always looking for a new riding area and long lake has a lot of trails that I plan on riding next year for sure thanks for the info

There ae a lot of cutlines and crown land in the area to go exploring for sure.
The county grazing reserve is loaded with huge rocks all over and many sleds have met their demise there.
Rider beware if you go off the beaten path.
Google maps and then check what is crown - there is lots!

Went for a 4 hour ride Sunday by the farm, no bare spots on the trails and hit as many untracked cutlines and fence lines as we could.
Getting skinny fast.
Saturday coming up may involve some dirt and water skipping.
