Well Folks here we go again.
Another season of sledding finally arrives with
the addition of around 5 inches of snow here
at the Lake.

The ice is testing at around 15 plus inches and the north creek is about the same
stay away from the bridge its very thin in that area.

The open areas are wind blown so you have to ride around the rocks out on the Grazing reserve, but at least you can still see those A arm removers.

I was down to Hanmore lake area yesterday. Not bad conditions, nice 90 k ride.

So I feel I’m old enough to go ice fishing, built a comfortable shack
but at this point I call it surveillance
not fishing. Those little turds are hard to catch
If you see the shack out on the ice stop in. .

So our restart to winter begins this week, welcome to minus 20 and now we’re going to get some snow, finally. The year a 1978 skidoo Elan is going for $3500.00 would have never figured how crazy things have gotten. F...ing COVID.

Well hope you’re staying safe and healthy

See you on the trails
Don

We are hoping to get up to the lake for a ride soon as well.
I myself have done some surveillance in the past.
Hope the rest of the winter brings some good riding and that some of the surveillance pays off.

Enjoy.

Good day Folks

It was so nice to see all the Family riding this weekend at the Lake.
The mountains are fun to ride but not all can afford that style of riding
and the required sleds to go with it.
I saw some old gear out riding this weekend and here at the lake it works just fine.
To see the Little people going round and round on the ice is so good. Years ago i Thought my son would ware out the snow.
I saw a family group going and the number two sled behind grandpa was a 120 going flat out, so nice to see.
There was an SS25 skidoo on the creek I think that’s a 1985, still going.

The county is crushing at their pit at the Narrows so the ride up the hill is down to dirt. Not sure when they’ll get that gravel hauled out. Use caution if in that area.

With the limited snow Im not going to groom yet, plus I need to put the blade on the Geo and fill in some huge
ruts before I get going.

The ski hill is open on the weekend you need to phone ahead for reservations, simple and the
conditions are good.

NOW the fishing is not so good for this old guy, but I will persevere.

See you on the Trail
Don

Chilly for sure yesterday riding at -24.
Had a about a 4 hour ride with two warm up breaks.
Girls had fun, enough snow in meadows for a real rip.
Open fields low for this time of year but forecast for more this week.
Definitely good to go for riding, did not quite make it all the way to lake.
Made a small drag for around the farm as we made lots of trails this fall with a mulcher.
Works good for small job as we only have 8-9 miles to do.
Easy to build and and should last for years.

Good evening Folks

Had a great day out grooming to the Lookout.
Lots of Wrinkles in that trail.
I need a snow maker attached to he drag

The county is hauling gravel from their pit at the Narrows
please stay clear of there until they’re finished. I let you know when the haul is over.

See you on the trail

Good day folks.

Well we picked a couple of inches of feathers this week
not much to it but the accumulation is going up, I would say theres
A good foot of snow in this area.

The ski hill has been making snow all week the conditions are great.

The county is still hauling gravel at theNarrows pit, stay clear of that area.
So now that all the rocks are covered in the Grazing reserve go slow and avoid
that EMPTY wallet syndrome

The conditions are Normal for this time of the year and my
prediction is at least another foot is on the way.

See you on the trails

Was in the area yesterday and the few inches of fluff snow helped.
Daughter and I put finishing touches on SNOWREX THE MOGUL MUNCHER.
Don - I have one more unpainted T-rex head if you need a hood ornament for your groomer......lol.

Hi Folks

The county gravel haul is finished for this year. All we need is snow.
Going to ask the country if they would pull a little snow back onto
the road so we could travel that direction. Hope so.
Two A arms modified on the ride yesterday. Oops.

I will start grooming north to the old trailer tomorrow, there a few wrinkles
in that area. The creek is getting a lot of washboard might knock those down as well

See you on the trail

Went for a ride to the lake yesterday and there is decent snow for a good rip.
Was surprised to find so many of the regular trails and cut lines untouched this year. Fresh snow most of the way there and back.
Had a great time and beat up some drifts with the old iron when we got home.

I have a cabin on the very North end of Skeleton Lake. We rode to Chump/North Buck on Thursday and then all the way to the grazing lease south of Long Lake on Friday. All on quads. Love it out there!!
