i drove by this and everyone was still there shoveling the truck out of the ditch. sled was a mess!
Polaris takes safety very serious. If you hold the throttle wide open for more than 4 seconds, the ECM will initiate a sequence where the exhaust side of the piston scuffs, you start to lose compression, then the engine dies.
Don't polaris sled have a etc switch thats supposed to kill the engine if the throtle sticks just like the quads do. Glad to here he's all right though.
ya my buddy is ok. his sled doesnt have a tether. its a 2010 polaris RMK800. its all getting taken care of legally right now, insurance was contacted and so forth. about 4 grand damage done to the guys truck

X2... Im sure its gonna start some kind of debate on whether sled should ride in ditches.... not on here but publically. The media will have a hay day. Personally, I love cruising them, but theres a lot of people that have issues with it. Time will tell....
