Hey ladies, I am looking to get a new jacket. I have gone to multiple stores and websites and I just cant seem to find anything I like. I am strongly considering going more towards a snowboarding jacket to escape the Baby pinks, baby blues, purples, and whites evey company only seems to offer us women. The last jacket I bought was an XL youth or XS mens jacket just for this reason alone. I found out yes I liked the look 10x better, but lets face it, women have sexy curves that a mens jacket just does not cater too.

Has anyone else gone this way, a snowboard jacket vs snowmobile jacket.

was it warm enough?
was it durable enough?
or any suggestions?

Thanks so much ladies:D

Northface puts out some really stylish coats.... but depending on how many layers you want to put on underneath you may have to get a larger size to fit.

If you are not in a hurry to get your new coat , I had a sneak peak at next seasons Klim gear. They have some really nice gear coming next season, I totally get the no pink and all the pastels colours, I do not do those colours either so believe me Klim will have something for you.
As for a snowboarding jacket, I have found from previous experiance that the material just didn't hold up to the demands of sledding and I was quite often wet at the end of the day but this is just my experiance.

Is it necessary to get the snowmobile jacket only. Try out some other types of designable jackets at manteau pas cher. For snowboarding, this jacket would be fine for you, from my experience. However, the choice is yours.

I've started a thread about the New Motorfist Contessa Line. You will not be disappointed. Snowboarding gear simply isn't durable enough to withstand the beating most sledders bring to the table. The Contessa line is eVent wich is a waterproof, breathable membrane that keeps you completely warm and dry. It is epic. It moves nicely with you as well. Check out that thread.
If you have any more questions you can message me, or mf guy who is the Motorfist representative on this site.

Cheers

I have been wearing Helly Hansen and O'Neill jackets for the last two seasons and I am pretty hard on my gear! The Helly Hansen is awesome- very warm and dry in ALL conditions. The O'Neill is less water and wind proof than I would like, but we have had a very warm season here so it has been just right. (I wouldn't wear it in any conditions colder than -15 though). Both jackets are great for layering. I don't find my jackets take a beating like my pants do, so I have never owned a Klim or Motorfist jacket as neither brand has sleeves that are long enough. I have tried snowboard pants but they aren't resilient to the wear and tear from the boards of the sled, and they don't stand up to weather and wetness, so I wear Klim Bibs.

If you are gonna go the alternative snowboard/ski jacket route, look for jackets made with Goretex or Event fabric with a waterproof rating of 15,000 or higher. This is a great time to buy because lots of the shops have end of season sales on so some of the $400+ jackets can be purchased for waaaay less. ;)

My two cents...
