2000 cc Snowmobile dragster

Just thought I would share some pics of our dragster myself and Rob at The Mod Shop in Grande Prairie have been building the last couple of years. We just got it going and it turns a lot of heads at the track. The engine is a 2000 cc triple two stroke built by Ralph at Split Second. The drive clutch is a hydraulic built by CV Tech and the secondary is a Team SLP.We had it out this past weekend and it ran 9.3 sec and 137 mph in the 1/4 .It had a 1.35 60 ft.We also have RER on the car to backup after the burnout. The pipes were custom built by Greg at Jaws Performance and from some pictures a few measurements the pipes fit perfect and work!

What kind of primary clutch is that? Sweet pics!:d:beer:
Its a hydraulic clutch that has three pistons that you can add or remove weight that move outwards as the clutch spins. It has an air chamber that acts similar to a spring in a normal clutch the more air you add the stiffer it gets. You also can add oil to the air chamber to change the rate of the shift.CV tech also made us controller that goes in end of the clutch that lets you rev up the engine to any rpm and with a button mounted on steering wheel release the clutch for unlimited engagement.we aren't using the controller but its really cool.

I saw you run quite a few times at the track this past week-end, sounds real cool, not the quietest one out there by any stretch. Cool ride.

That's what crossed my mind, would like to hear it run.....

Did you get to run at the Rocky Mt Nat or did the whole weekend get canceled...
We ran it twice on friday three times on saturday and once on sunday the rain came later in the day most days so we were able to run all our time trails. The weekend was basically test runs since it was our first weekend out.It does sound pretty cool especially if your standing behind the car the pipes exit about ear level.
