I was just thinking the same thing......... Heli skiers and tours, should not be exempt either

I was at Silverstar with the family this winter and couldn't begin to imagine the amount of resources that go into operating such a facility, for even one day. Sure the skis themselves don't use fuel, but every other thing around there sure does, as do all of the skiiers and staff getting to and from the mountain each day... Its really too bad user groups need to point fingers at each other to try and meet their goals instead of just enjoying their preferred activity.

City council voted today to not support the environmental society proposal. They know damn well where the incoming dollars are from. Pay attention!, we have have the Greens and the NDP looking to jam their agenda down our throats.

The article says that there are 800 snowmobiles on a busy day in revy. Is that even accurate?

if not then there numbers should be straightened out, everything they estimate would be grossly overstated.

Good to see in the end there isn't any support for this carbon crap!

Thanks to Revy city council for having a head on their shoulders and applying some common sense. Getting really sick of the holier than thou attitude of some of the other backcountry user groups.
yes but they already have a resort town tax...but yes hats off to them for making the right call

Even at 800 sleds the emissions from sleds pail in comparison to the helicopters and snow cats.

You know those guys don't even want to start that conversation.

But seriously what a dumb ****ing topic, some people need a hobby other than ****ing with other people.

No, we don`t even have parking for that number of riders. Numbers were all grossly overstated. It was good to hear Council`s remarks in regards to the job the club does and about the importance of snowmobile tourism here. We didn`t have to say a thing.
