I saw that. The RSC needs to think this through. It is expensive enough now to stay and eat in Revy. Golden and Fernie are a lot cheaper and a lot closer for our group.

i think the only levy should be a hot air tax on the NCES. What a bunch of BS.

Don't ever think something is too idiotic to happen.
Remember, Trump, Notley and Trudeau all got elected.
This needs a loud, very vocal response from the snowmobile community immediately.
If this idea sinks in it will not stop there, now that our province is going GREEN all motorized recreation will be under microscopes.

I think this is all backwards. We should be asking for $20 credit for feeding the trees carbon. Without our precious carbon the trees would die. I'm no scientist but without sledders the forest would disappear within 1 year. It's our duty to save the trees. I sled to save the trees not for recreational fun.

Guys, it is going to get worse before it gets better with a coalition government of two "green parties" coming to BC. I have already heard rumblings of Y2Y calling for a Flathead Park (south eastern BC) again. What is the answer? I don't know other than total change of governments and that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Only hope is for a snap election and that BC voters realize what a disaster they have running the show now. Gotta get the greens/dippers out of there. Unless the SJWs and hippies manage to totally oust the libs and then ya all are proper f*cked.

Massive non compliance, in a mature manner. Follow the rules that make sense, don't be an a-hole- and politely give them the finger.

That is the only way to stop this crap. All the petitions in the world will have no positive outcome for us. Or at least it hasn't yet.

City can't tax you on crown land anyway. Who knows what might happen when the NDP/Green un-democratic coup takes over the BC Government though. Laws can always be changed.

84 kg of carbon per day, WTF, that's 175lb or 120 litres of fuel, minus oil of course...
must have been a deep powder day, or an arctic cat

Yes another tax will improve the air quality

ONE CONTRACTOR - JUST ONE - out of Smithers (Summit Reforestation), planted 31.6 million seedlings last year X 48lbs of carbon absorbed in 1 year = 1,516,800,000 lbs of carbon absorbed annually by those trees alone.
An additional carbon tax is bull... I would rather be required to plant a couple trees... That way I KNOW I have done something to help the environment. Plus, after they've spent that $2.5 on a doughnut at the next board meeting, it is gone -- my tree is still there!

Carbon tax is just like photo radar. Is all about numbers, 28000x $2.50. Humm.
Any one even take the time to estimate what alberta makes per month on the carbon tax on your nat gas bill?
